I still can't figure out if Drew Sharp says stuff just to be controversial, or if he really believes it. Yesterday on "The Big Show" on 1270, he said that playing in the NIT does no good, except for maybe a little financial advantage. He was saying that if you aren't in the NCAA Tournament, it's pointless to keep playing.
According to this philosophy, there should only be one bowl game.... the BCS Championship. There is no benefit to play in any other bowl game. The experience, the extra time playing with teammates apparently does no good to improve your team.
I need to start calling into radio shows.
