I told myself I wasn't going to watch Coupling.... But I did. I didn't see it all, but I saw most of it. Maybe it's just because it's a new show, but I just didn't get into it. I'm not sure it's going to last.

Is it just me, or has the term "walk-off home run" been used way more this year than normal years?

I'm trying to avoid getting sucked into the California Re-call mess, but I was thinking today. Could Gov. Davis have submitted his name as a replacement governor if he is recalled? Here's my thinking. With so many candidates, no one will probably get more than 50% of the votes. Let's say the recall part of the ballot is a close race, and assume he is recalled, 55-45. Wouldn't those 45% vote for Davis as the replacement, too? If not all of them, I would think most of them would. So let's say he gets 35-40%.... that could be enough to get the most votes.

I don't know all the rules, and he probably wasn't allowed to run as a replacement, but the way the whole thing is messed up, I wouldn't be surprised if that were an option.

Well, it's not back to normal, but it's close...... and somehow I fixed the comments so it shows the numbers again, so that's good.

Note to self, save blog template more often. Had to revert back to over a year ago. If you notice anything wrong, let me know..... I still can't get rid of the dang syntax error.

In trying to get rid of an error I kept receiving, I somehow deleted my template (I really don't think I did anything wrong, except re-save it about 8 times in a minute). Deal with this format until I get time to change it.

Not that I'm trying to copy off Dave Barry, but giving out the number to the Telemarketing people, but I found some info on Judge Lee R. West, who recently ruled against the do-not-call list.

It may be too soon to talk about this, but the field of the teams to match the '72 Dolphins undefeated season is down to six. Which team will be the biggest threat to them?

Indianapolis (3-0) - Indy has a tough road with games @TB, @Ten, @Mia, @Buf
Kansas City (3-0) - Tough division, having to play Den and Oak twice, but have the luxury of playing all four teams in the NFC Norris....errr....North
Denver (2-0) - see above, but replace Den with KC. With questions at QB, I don't see it happening.
Minnesota (3-0) - Somewhat favorable schedule with some easier road games (read Arizona), and plays NFC North each twice, but have already used up three of those games.
Carolina (2-0) - yes, they have Hou, Det, and Ari on their schedule, but it's not gonna happen. This is Carolina. Aren't they cute, the new team starting off strong. I guess they aren't so new anymore, are they?
Seattle (3-0) - This could be the surprise.... Holmgrem could be on the hot seat. Are St. Louis and San Fran having down years? If so, Seattle still has four divisional games left against what could be a surprisingly weak division. Note, they play the NFC North, too. And cincinnati.

My guess is that Seattle will come out of the season with the best record. Undefeated? I'm going to say no, but they will last the longest.

I think we're seeing a little more of Janel Molony than we are supposed to be seeing.

I probably won't think this later, but right now, I think what I would like to see happen even more than Michigan winning out and whatever help they need to happen to get them in the BCS Title game is to have whatever needs to happen to pair up Michigan and Oregon in the Rose Bowl. I want a rematch.

While watching the WNBA finals last night on ESPN2, I found it intersting that the ads on the scores table at the Palace were for Swiffer and Cascade.

I only have one more week to finish all 40-some episodes of Sports Night. I've got about 5-10 down. Not that I HAVE to finish by next week, but that's when the new season starts, and TV time will be dedicated to watching the new stuff.

I don't remember in the past there being so many commercials for talk shows advertising the start of a new season. Actually, I didn't realize there was a season for talk shows. I thought they ran year round.

There is Boss's Day, Secretary's Day, and just yesterday, I found out that there is a Jantorial Services Day or something like that.... Here's my question.... When the hell is "Peon and a Large Cooperation Day"?!?!?!?!?

And of course, the "Friends" line that comes to mind is.... (enter it in the comments if you know it)

Well, I just realized that in addition to my comments being out for the past week or two, the numbers haven't been working for a lot longer than that..... here i was assuming that there was just no one commenting. I just went back and read all the comments form the past two months. Thank you for those who commented (mostly it was JT and Russ), and I apologize for not acknowledging your comments, or commenting on your comments. I didn't know they were there.

Thanks again.

Shaving cream and bread crumbs.... you can never use the right amount. You always have some left over when you are done.

another commercial that bugs me:

BankOne's "Top of the mornin' to you.... I'm not really British" credit card commercial

a commercial I like: the maytag "it all comes out in the wash" with the kid that gets all dirty and throws his D- paper in the wash, then struts across the kitchen. That cracks me up.

this commercial doesn't necessarily bug or annoy me, just something wrong with it:

the hotels.com commercial where the lady holds the tape measure to see how far it is from the hotel to the attractions in the area.... she's holding the wrong end of the tape measure.... shouldn't the doorman be holding the start of the tape, and the hotels.com lady should be holding the other end?

Am I the only one totally annoyed with the Sunday Night Football commercials, and when they go to commercial? That siren that goes. It's really annoying, I keep thinking it's the tornado siren.

My fantasy team sucked it up pretty bad this week..... i think it was all the damn trading i did this year.

Annoying commercial that I have not commented on (at least i don't think i've commented on):

Pier One: Kirstie Alley is really annoying in that commercial
Victory Honda: annoying
Ford: that one with "ANYWAY YOU WANT IT..." that always seems louder than any other commercial
