Are there any "must see" places, or "must eat at" places in Columbus, Ohio? I will be there for the better part of three days in this coming week.

If you need to install a hose reel on the side of your house, I've had practice and would be glad to help. Now that I know what I'm doing, it's a piece of cake. I would suggest taking the insurance of putting a piece of that plumbing tape stuff around the threads before putting the connector hose on the reel. It's a real pain in the arse to take the whole dang thing apart like I did.
Without telling you how, because I am trying to protect the guilty, I felt a piece of the field turf that they are installing at Michigan Stadium. It was a lot different than I thought. I was expecting the "grass" to be more rubbery, but it was more plasticy. It was similar to tarp-like material, but in small pieces. Unless it wasn't actually the field turf that I saw.

EDIT: Just to note, none of the field was taken, it was just scraps that they cut away from the field.
What ever happened to that kid that used to be on Picket Fences?

I keep forgetting to blog this.... twice in the last week, I saw a segway (same guy, same segway). Around 4-4:15 going southbound on Livernois between 18 and 17 mile, I've seen a guy cruising along on his segway. It was my first time seeing it in person. Looked pretty cool. I'm tempted to stop him one time and ask him to try it out, although i would feel a little dorky doing that. Then again, how is that different than normal?

Do any of you know anything about Tankless water heaters? Any good?

I see these as the Advatages:
- No energy wasted keeping water heated (water is heated on demand)
- No running out of hot water if taking multiple long showers

I see these as the Disadvatages:
- Higher initial cost
- Can't run a lot of things at the same time (Dishwasher, Washing Machine, Mulitple Showers)
What the hell happened to May and June????? I realize that there is still a week left in June, but is it just me, or did the past two months just fly by?
I watched a 30-minute infomercial on the Sonic Web. In the description of how it works, apparently it sends out a sound that can cover an acre. A sound that simulates a heartbeat, but isn't very audible to humans. My thought abou this is that if it's true that it attracts mosquitos within an acre, I'm going to have all the mosquitos from all my neighbors yards in my yard.

My hits have really gone down ever since people stopped looking for Annika Sorenstam Nude.
Wouldn't it have made more sense if Charlie Villanueva went to Villanova instead of UConn?

I'm kind of amazed that the Tennis Grand Slams haven't taken advantage of stretching out the two week long tournaments. I realize that it is probably due to not wanting to step on the toes of the lead-up events, but one would thing that in this day of sports, when it seems like everyone is trying to stretch out their playoffs to last longer, that tennis would extend their Grand Slam events two more days. This would be huge for them. An extra two days of revenue from tickets, advertising, tv, etc. It would also allow for more rest days, or days to postpone matches to in case of rain. I'm not complaining, I'm just finding it odd that they haven't done this.

I'm expecting disappointment in the next Harry Potter book. I thought the fourth book dragged on a little, and I think it is because she is intentionally trying to make each one longer, and the enjoyment of the book is suffering. I hope I'm wrong.

Someone is supposed to die in the fifth book. I have no clue, I'm just guessing, but I'm going to have to guess McGonagall. I'm thinking since there is a big deal being made about it, it has to be a "good guy". And I don't think it could happen to any main character. True, McGonagall is a main character, but she doesn't seem to be all that crucial to any storyline.

Who will be the first to get one of these.... Bill, Russ, or Noli?

Why do they say that games start at a certain time, when they never do. I realize that they can pinpoint the exact starting time, but why do they keep saying that the NBA playoff games start at 8:30, when it's more like 8:45 or 9:00 before tipoff?

I'm trying to figure out why a lot of the shows that I watch regularly are not on in summer reruns. Boomtown, Ed, The West Wing, and Good Morning, Miami. Maybe it's just NBC, but I can't figure it out. One would thing that shows that are struggling with ratings would want to show more of them during the summer in hopes that people will latch on to them, and continue to watch them when they come back in the fall.

I guess that's why I'm not in charge of a network.

EDIT: I spoke too soon. Well, sorta.... I just noticed that TNT is showing Boomtown on Monday nights at 10 PM. For those who haven't seen it yet, it might be a good time to catch up on some of the background before the fall season starts.
Here are my posts from last Thursday that were published temporarily, then lost....

Just to let you know, the Detroit Shock tip off in few minutes in a game this morning. I knew you didn't want to miss it.

Update: The Shock won.

I know it's my anti-Mitch kicking in, but why was Mitch Album on the TODAY show this morning talking about Sammy Sosa? I do realize that he is a sports columnist, but he's not from Chicago. Wouldn't it make more sense to have someone from Chicago on? I wonder if Mitch volunteered, or if he was asked.

And if you saw it, was it me, or was his hair unusually dark. It looked really bad. Like he died it a few shades too dark. Maybe I just never noticed his hair before, but it just didn't look normal.

Noli, you might be able to help me here... or anyone else (but i think Noli is a game show junkie, too)

A few years ago, Game Show Network had an interactive show on, where people would call in and use their keypads on their phones to play video-game-type games. It was and (the two character names of the video games) I think. I'm drawing a complete blank on what the show was called.
If I designed a urinal, I would make one so that it didn't start draining until you flushed. And on the urinal, there would be graduated lines to show volume, like on a measuring cup or a beaker. That way, you would know how much you peed. The only way to do that now is to pee into a measuring cup or beaker, and that's just silly.
My wife is on the shorter side, and therefore buys petite clothes. In catalogues (and in stores), sometimes they have the extra large sizes cost more money (because it uses more material). Why then aren't the petite clothes cheaper, since they use LESS material???
Isn't it ironic, don't you think....

now i'm very confused..... in blogger, where I add my posts, I see all my post EXCEPT for the ones from yesterday. But on the webpage through blogspot, it only shows yesterday's blogs. I'm sure it will all get straigtened out.

After reading the following line from this story:

Salazar chose a lump sum of $10,089,377.57 over 30 annual payments of $533,333.

I thought.... well, duh.

I watched Keen Eddie last night. It wasn't super amazing or anything, but it peaked my interest enough to tune in next week. Quick synopsis: Eddie is a cop in NYC, and is tracking some illegal drugs. He gets connected with a woman who leads him to wear they are producing the drugs. When the cops arrive, the place is empty. The bad guys have moved to London. Eddie now has to go to London to track them down, and work with Scotland Yard to catch the bad guys.
Why is it that the NBA can wait an entire week to start the NBA finals, but for the conference finals, they couldn't wait an extra day or two to give the Pistons a rest between series. I'm not saying that the rest would have necessarily made the difference in the series, but I think it would have helped the Pistons in Game 1 against the Nets.

New Pistons slogan...

What can Brown do for you?
If you read my weight training a few days ago, and you want to get in on the action, let me know. I'll show you how it's done, and supervise you to make sure you are doing it right. Act now, there isn't much time to waste. Limited time offer. Some restrictions may apply. Offer not valid in Delaware and Ohio. Not valid with any other offer.
After all the rain Friday night/Saturday morning, we were driving down the road, and saw a boat by the side of the road with 3-4 guys doing something to it. I told my wife to roll down the window, and tell them it didn't rain that much. She said it was Noah getting ready.
I was behind a guy (note, I said "a guy" because it was just "one guy".... alone.... nobody with him) at Taco Bell yesterday. I overhear his order. "2 Tostadas, 7 hard tacos, and 7 soft tacos......that's all to go."

My first thought is that it is pretty obvious that it is to go, since one man is probably not going to eat all 16 items that he ordered. My second thought is that he said, "that's all to go" are there people out there that order a bunch of food for other people, but eat theirs at the restaurant before taking the rest of the food home?
