What is it about annoying female singers that get us excited by saying that they are retiring, and then don't.

Doesn't it suck that you can do everything right, and still get in a car accident?

Coming back from lunch, I was stopped in traffic when I got rear ended. "Fortunately", it was a domino effect where one car hit another, then that car hit me, and it wasn't at that fast of a speed, so there was minimal damage, and everyone was OK.

I really don't have much to say about it, just that it sort of sucks. Drive Safely.

I don't like channel 4's new logo.... I'm not sure what it is about it, but I just don't like it.

To continue my rant about Stockard Channing, Mrs. Bartlett was only on two short scenes in last night's two hour season premiere. In the first scene that she was in, which probably lasted less than 2 minutes, she had a short dialog with the President. In the second scene, she was only there sitting at a table listening to the President's speech. I just don't get it. Margaret is more of a supporting character than Abby.

On a side note, it rained again in last night's The West Wing.

I just read something that referenced "Teenagers under 20..." Hmmmm.... and that is to clarify from those teenagers that are OVER 20?

Is it me, or have there been a lot of water main breaks recently?

I think Russ might have brought this to my attention, but I've noticed it a lot this week...

Glenn Hague recently moved his handyman show from 1270 to 1130. WDFN has been promoting the show saying that now it's on a more powerful radio station (powerful in reference to the signal). Maybe it's just me, but I get more static on 1130 than I do on 1270. When I go under bridges, 1270 is fine, but 1130 fades a little or goes out completely. Sometimes when driving under power lines, or just out of the blue, I lose the signal from 1130. Last week, there was a storm going through. 1130's signal had static, and would get worse every time there was lightning. There was a little static on 1270 when there was lightning, but not nearly as much as 1130.

Is it just me, or does anyone else experience this?

On a totally different note, is anyone else happy to see St. Louis is 0-3?? I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I'm rooting for the Cowboys next week!!!

I've been meaning to blog about this for a few weeks now. Comcast has a commercial for their "Front Row" thinger... not a magazine, but the little information brochure that comes with your Comcast bill that tells you about upcoming movies and such.

If you haven't seen the commercial, they show the inside of a mailbox, with someone looking through their mail, and putting the "bad" mail back in the box, saying, "Bill (puts envelop back in mailbox).... Bill (puts envelop back in mailbox).... Bill (puts envelop back in mailbox).... Hey, this looks interesting!!! (referring to the Comcast "Front Row")..."

My complaint is that the Comcast "Front Row" COMES WITH THE COMCAST BILL!!!!! So if the guy was really putting all the bills back in the mailbox, he would have put the Comcast bill back in, and wouldn't have seen the "Front Row".

These are the things in life that bother me.

Speaking of Cheese, we currently have 7 cheese in our Fridge/Freezer..... American, Cheddar, Swiss, Gouda, Parmasian, Mozzerella, and Munster. And I almost went out to buy some Provolone for some french onion soup.

Apparently you can have a competition for just about ANYTHING!!!!

Although it happend probably minutes after I fell asleep last night, I want to wish every one a Happy Fall/Autumn (whichever you prefer).

I apologize for my lack of posting lately.... I do most blogging during free time at work, and I was out of the office 3 days last week.

You would think I would have a bunch of ideas built up to blog about, but unfortunately my short term memory is really bad. I have stopped mid-sentence forgetting what I was talking about.

I'm not sure if I've blogged about this before, but you are going to have to hear about it again.

Stockard Channing is not that great. I love The West Wing. I'm pretty sure that I've seen every episode. I want The West Wing to win in every category, but Stockard Channing does not deserve (in my opinion) the Best Suporting Actress in a Drama Series. First of all, it seems to me that she over-acts in almost every scene she is in. I don't think she is that great of an actress in The West Wing. Secondly, I don't think that she is on frequent enough to be considered a supporting actress. There has got to be some rule that measures the frequency of the actor/actresses appearance on the show to be considered a supporting actress. There are many episodes that go by where she isn't even ON.

To make a long story short (too late), Janel Moloney got screwed.

Thank you for all those who were asking. My eye is doing fine. Actually, I think my arm is more sore from the tetanus shot, although it does hurt when i try and raise my eyebrows.

5 stitches did the job. Luckily my eye was not damaged at all. The cut is just above my right eyebrow. It's a little swollen, and getting that yellow/purple-ish color now.

PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS TO ME!!!!!

The Baltimore Colts moved to Indianapolis. The Cleveland Browns moved to Baltimore and became the Ravens. Cleveland got an expansion team, named the Browns, but kept the Ravens history as the Browns as their "history". Now the Baltimore Ravens are honoring Unitas. Not that they can't, but the Ravens had nothing to do with Unitas, and it was part of the Indianapolis Colts history.

I haven't had any good ideas lately to post. Apparently I didn't have on one Monday, either, so I recycled an idea.

The Fall Season is going to start soon. Boomtown is the only show that's caught my interest so far. Some of the comedies have got a little interest from me, but that's about it. Then all then all the returning shows....

Friends - I'm rooting for Joey, unless it would mess up a spin-off for Joey (Bill's Idea)
The West Wing - They are killing off too many people. When's Alan Stanwyk coming back on?
Everybody Loves Raymond - I forget how the season ended with the Marie/Debra dispute... guess I'll have to catch it on reruns
Ed - The previews show that Dennis asked Carol to marry him. I'm guessing she said no
Good Eats - What will he come up with next!!!!??!??!?!?!?!??!!

Time to think of some sort of Fantasy Football post.

Two football rules I don't understand....

(1) The rule for pass interference that if the pass is uncatchable, it is no longer a penalty. This makes no sense to me at all. So it's ok to hit the guy as long as it's a bad pass?? Why not apply this rule to other penalties.... such as, if the defender is offsides, but wouldn't have gotten to the quarterback anyway, it isn't a penalty. Or if an offensive lineman holds the defender, if the defender didn't have a chance to get to the ball carrier, it isn't a penalty. PLEASE, someone explain this to me!!!!!

(2) Intentional Grounding. The penalty for intentional grounding is really not a penalty. There is no reason for a QB to get a sack... just throw the ball. Why?? because the penalty is loss of down from the spot of the foul. OK, so what would happen if he didn't throw the ball? loss of down from where the QB is sacked. So if the QB intentionally grounds the ball, there he won't end up any worse than if he would have taken the sack. PLEASE, explain this to me!!!!!

Why couldn't I have had this problem in Physics class?

I'll never understand people. While driving yesterday, I was going south on Dequindre, between 16 and 15 mile. I was in the right lane of the two southbound lanes. There is a pick-up a little bit ahead of me in the left lane. A car behind the pick-up in the left lane (about even with me) starts honking his horn and is getting pissed off at me because I'm not letting him over into the right lane (so he can turn right at 15 mile). Being that he is even with me, I cannot see his blinker. Also, there is NOBODY behind me for at least a half mile, if not more. He could have (and ended up doing) slowing down, and getting behind me. As he got over into the right turn lane to turn on 15 mile, he honked his horn again, and made some hand gestures to me. I just waved and went on my merry way.

Sampras beat Agassi in the US Open finals. I wasn't rooting for him. I still think he's a big whiner for complaining about playing on lower courts at Wimbledon.

They say "you don't know what you have until you lose it"

Well, it's true. Having a cable line accidentally cut in the yard cuts me off from my daily routine of evening reruns, and internet surfing. Otherwise I would have benched Terrell Owens last night (yeah right)

Bill got me hooked watching other fantasy football drafts on ESPN's website. I know, I'm a fantasy football nerd. But anyway, the best team name I saw was "I HATE ME"

84 days after winning the Stanley Cup, The Wings start their campaign to repeat

Bobby Shaw and Patrick Johnson led the welcoming committee that greeted Jimmy Smith when he returned to the Jaguars locker room yesterday. "It's kind of a breath of fresh air to have Jimmy Smith back," Shaw said. "It's good to have him back," Johnson said. "He's one of my idols. I don't like to say that because I'm with him now. He's been there and done it all."

Patrick Johnson withdrew his statement when he realized they weren't talking about L.A. Law and NYPD Blue star, Jimmy Smits.

There must be a lot of restaurants in the Hollywood area. I came to this realization yesterday while watching Game Show Network. One of the contestants on some show mentioned that he was an aspiring actor, and waiting tables in the mean time. This is a common response to those actors who go out to California in search of stardom. So I came to the conclusion that there must be a lot of restaurants to house all these aspiring actors and actresses. And the people that would normally wait tables in other cities, where do they work? Is there enough work for them to wait tables, too, or do they move on to other jobs?
